Oman Cricket Academy Ground Stadium (Muscat)
The Oman Cricket Academy Venue, commonly known as Al Amerat Cricket Stadium, is a cricket ground in Muscat, Oman. The Oman Cricket Board owns the venue. The International Cricket Council (ICC) granted certification for the stadium’s Ministry Turf 1 to hold Test cricket in January 2021.
At the present, the ground is quite rudimentary, with no stands and even low-quality floodlights. The anticipated cost of the upgrade is $2 million, and it will be carried out by Oman Cricket.
According to some who were there, the arena is now quite fairly basic and appears to be more of a club ground. There are no crowd seating configurations at the moment, the associates are eyeing and anticipate seating for 3,000 to 4,000 spectators.
As per the ICC guidelines, there must be four dressing rooms. But currently, the Al Amerat Cricket ground has a couple in the back. Following the floodlights currently, 1100 lux needs to be upgraded to 2500 lux LED. The stadium also lacks a TV tower and a commentary box which will be installed soon, said Madhu Jesrani, the secretary of Oman Cricket.
