The video of a Syrian refugee going on a deranged rampage and carrying out a knife attack stabbing has gone viral along with his name
In an alarming incident that shook France and sparked outrage online, four children were attacked in a public park in Annecy, a city in southeastern France.
The young victims, aged one to three years old, are now receiving medical attention and are reported to be in stable condition. The attacker was apprehended at the scene by the local law enforcement officers.

The suspect, identified as a 31-year-old Syrian granted refugee status in Sweden, was taken into custody following the terrifying knife attack. The victims include two adults, one of whom is critically injured, and two children, one Dutch and one three-year-old British toddler.

Antoine Armand, a regional deputy, referred to the incident as “abominable.” The investigation is still in the early stages and little information has been disclosed so far. A video circulating on social media shows the man entering the playground with a knife, causing immediate panic among the children and adults present. The suspect reportedly attacked a child in a stroller despite clear efforts to target children.
Government response to the knife attack
The shocking incident drew the attention of high-ranking French officials, with Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin and Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne visiting the scene. According to police, the suspect recently arrived in France and holds refugee status in Sweden. In a failed asylum application last year, he claimed to be a Syrian Christian. During the attack, he used the name of Jesus Christ. His ex-wife confirmed to BFM TV that he is a Christian and added that he had not shown any previous signs of violent behavior.
