Following independence, Punjab was partitioned into three states on November 1st, 1966: Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.

In addition, Moosewala claims that after “returning” Haryana and Himachal Pradesh to Punjab, Punjab should be granted full sovereignty or they won’t offer any water to anyone. The demand for an independent Khalistan is just one step removed from this one for state sovereignty.

The song continues by stating that Balwinder Jattana will return if there is no other option. The terrorist who murdered two senior engineers working on the SYL project in Chandigarh was named as Jattana. Jattana, a citizen of Ropar and a member of the terrorist group Babbar Khalsa, murdered the chief engineer and the supervising engineer who were both employed on the SYL project in 1990. Construction on SYL was put on hold after the killings because the terrified engineers wouldn’t resume their work. Later, in 1991, a police encounter resulted in Jattana’s death.

In the words displayed throughout the song, Sidhu Moosewala continues by blaming SYL Canal for the 1984 Congress-led Sikh riot in Delhi. The song’s music video also features a Sikh mob waving the flag at Red Fort on Republic Day in 2021. The film furthers the argument that violence should be employed to stop SYL by depicting a bomb explosion on an animated canal.

The song concludes with a distressing comment by Satyapal Malik, the governor of Meghalaya, who claimed that one should not try the patience of Sikhs because they murdered Indira Gandhi, General Vaidya in Pune, and General Dwyer in London.
