The Swiss Open 2023 will feature big names like World No.1 Viktor Axelsen, Lee Zii Jia, Chou Tien Chen in the Men’s Singles. Meanwhile, players like World No.6 Wang Zhiyi and Carolina Marin will headline in the Women’s singles.
Several top-ranked Indian players will also take part in the tournament like HS Prannoy, Lakshya Sen, PV Sindhu, Chirag Shetty, and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy.

Swiss Open 2023 draws
Given below are the Swiss Open 2023 draws in each of the four categories:
Men’s singles
World No.9 HS Prannoy is the fifth seed and he will face China’s Shi Yuqi in the first round. Prannoy will then likely go up against All England Championships semifinalist Anders Anton in the second round. Antonsen will go up against Kantaphon Wangchaoren during the opening round. Meanwhile, World No.1 Viktor Axelsen is also in the quarter.
This year, Indian players Lakshya Sen and Kidambi Srikanth are both in the same quarter. Both players placed are placed in the third quarter will likely meet in the second round.
Eighth seed Lakshya Sen, will first face off against Hong Kong’s Lee Cheuk Yiu in the first round. Meanwhile, Srikanth will face off China’s Weng Hongyang in the first round. The other seeded player in this quarter is fourth seed is Thai star Kunlavut Vitidsarn.
Women’s Singles
India’s PV Sindhu will enter the tournament as the defending champion. She is the fourth seed will feature in the third quarter against Switzerland’s Jenjira Stadelmann in the first round.
Meanwhile, another Indian star Saina Nehwal will also play in the same quarter. Nehwal will go up against Thailand’s Lalinrat Chaiwan in the first round and likely meet Sindhu in the second round.
Men’s Doubles
India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty are the second seed in the Swiss Open 2023 Men’s Doubles category. The pair is placed in the fourth quarter of the draws and will face the qualifiers in the first round. Aside from them , Leo Carnando and Daniel Marthin of Indoneia are the only other seeded players in the quarter.
Meanwhile, MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila are the second Indian pair and are placed in the top quarter. They will begin their campaign facing off against Japan’s Taichi Saito ad Akira Koga. If the pair win their first round, they will face off against top seeds Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik.
Another Indian pair, Krishnaprasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala will also feature in in the tournament. The pair will kick-off their 2023 campaign against the sixth seeded Indonesian pair Muhammad Fikri and Bagas Maulana.
Women’s Doubles
The Indian pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, recently made it to the semifinals at the All England Championships. Both players will be looking to continue their fine form in the Swiss Open 2023. The unseeded duo have a tough first round match against Indonesia’s second seeded Apriyani Rahayu and Siti Ramadhanti.
Meanwhile, the only other Women’s Doubles pair from India is Ashwini Bhat and Shikha Gautam. The pair begin their campaign against Thailand’s Supissara Paewsampran and Puttita Supajirakul.
