The 72 countries were part of the Commonwealth Games 2022 and out of which only 16 managed to win eight or more than gold medals in the competition.

A career full of achievements –

Emma McKeon is the four-time record holder in the 4×100 freestyle relay of which three records are former and one current. In her Olympic career, McKeon has won a total of 11 medals in the pool following her triumph in Tokyo Olympic Games she was renowned as the most decorated Australian athlete.

Australia came out as the topper of the medals tally with 176 medals, including 67 gold, 57 silver and 54 bronze followed by England at second with a total of 176 medals, including 57 gold, 66 silver and 53 bronze whereas Canada finished at third with a total of 92 medals which include 26 gold, 32 silver and 34 bronze. India finished at fourth with a total of 61 medals which includes 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze. The fifth place was occupied by New Zealand with a total of 49 medals which includes 20 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze.

Career-

McKeon first competed at the Summer Youth Olympics 2010 held in Singapore. In Youth Olympics, she won gold in the 4x100m medley relay, silver in 100m freestyle and mixed 4x100m relay. In 50m, 200m freestyle and mixed 4x100m medley relay she clinched the bronze medal. She could not compete in the 2012 Summer Olympics due to her bad performances.

Rio Olympics 2016-

At Rio Olympics 2016, McKeon won gold in the 4×100 m freestyle relay with a record time of 3.30.65 a silver in 4×200 m freestyle relay and 4x100m relay. She also won bronze in 200m freestyle event.

Tokyo Olympics 2020-

In Tokyo Olympics, Emma McKeon secured 4 gold and 3 bronze in the competition after which she became the most decorated Athlete of Australia.
