Swachhata Hi Seva Certificate 2023
The Swachhta Hi Seva (SHS) campaign is being celebrated from September 15th to October 2nd this year under the joint aegis of DDWS and MOHUA to initiate Shramdaan activities.
It was launched with the aim of generating mass movement through community participation, providing incentives for the implementation of SBM, spreading the importance of Total Clean Village, reinforcing the concept of cleanliness as every individual’s business, and as a prelude to Swachh Bharat Diwas with nationwide participation.
‘Garbage Free India’ is the objective of SHS-2023, with a special emphasis on the welfare of Safai Mitras and the aesthetic cleanliness of the country. The theme of this year’s cleanliness initiatives is “volunteerism/shramdaan”. These cleanliness campaigns concentrate on cleaning up high-traffic public areas such as bus stops, train stations, beaches, tourist attractions, zoos, national parks and wildlife sanctuaries, historical monuments, heritage sites, river banks, ghats, sewers, and drainage. In both rural and urban areas of the State/Union Territory
