Suryakumar Yadavโs Family And Education
Surya learned the game while playing in the streets of Varanasi and At the age of 10, his father saw his passion for the game and made him join a cricket camp of BARC colony in Anushakti Nagar. Surya is an alumnus of the Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science.

Suryakumar Yadav played club cricket for the Parsi Gymkhana club based in Mumbai. Despite Parsi Gymkhana, Yadav had also played for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited team and clubs including Shivaji Park Gymkhana club and Dadar Union club in Mumbai’s club cricket.
Surya Kumar is one of the senior and regular members of the Mumbai Ranji team. He was a captain of the Mumbai cricket team for a brief of time in the Ranji trophy. Amid the season 2014โ15 Ranji Trophy season Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) removed him from the captaincy and he was dropped from the team in the 2018-19 season. MCA’s selection committee selected him and was appointed as the captain for 2019-20 of the tournament.
Till 2019, in First-class he has scored 4818 runs, 12 hundred and 24 half-centuries. Yadav was captain of the Mumbai team in the 2020โ21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and he had played many trophies and seasons back to back.
Indian Premier League
Surya received an IPL contract from Mumbai Indians (MI) for the 2012 season. He has played just one match in the season and was dismissed without scoring any run. Later Yadav was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2014 IPL auctions.
International career
In February of 2021, Yadav was named in India’s Twenty20 International squad against the team England. In June of 2022, Yadav was named in India’s squad for their T20I series against the team Ireland
