Supercoppa Italiana trophy 2023 winner and runner up prize money

Here is how much AC Milan and Inter Milan will earn from the Supercoppa Italiana Final 2023 in prize money

The first derby to be played for a trophy since the 2011–12 season will take place on Wednesday in Saudi Arabia when AC Milan and Inter Milan square off in the Supercoppa Italiana final.

The match will also result in a significant budget bonus, according to Calcio e Finanza (via Calciomercato.com) this morning.

The Supercoppa Italiana, which will be contested in Saudi Arabia for the final time under the terms of the existing agreement, will take place in Riyadh between the Italian champions and the Coppa Italia winners at the King Fahd International Stadium.

The guaranteed prize money under the contract, which Lega Serie A signed in November 2018, is €7.5m, to be split between the two clubs. This is the maximum amount, if Inter, Milan, Juventus, or Roma had not met, it would have been lower.

The divide between the teams that win the trophy and those that lose it will be nearly identical, with a difference of just €500k in favour of the winning team. Serie A League receives 10% of the total sum.

Meanwhile, currently sitting in second position in Serie A, AC Milan has had a respectable start to the year. After being reduced to a dismal 2-2 draw by Lecce in their previous match, the Rossoneri will need to step it up this week.

Inter Milan, on the other hand, is now in fourth position in the league and has not played at their best this year. Last week, the Nerazzurri outlasted Hellas Verona 1-0 to earn a crucial victory, and they’ll want for a similar outcome this time around.

Even if one can never make a forehand choice in a football game because everything is reasonable, the two teams’ divergent forms could end up making a significant difference in the championship game.

Talking about injury, Maignan, Florenzi, Ibrahimovic, and Toure are guaranteed to miss the match for Milan, while Krunic and Rebic are questionable.

Lukaky, Brozovic, and Handanovic are injured for Inter and will not play in this match.
