The competition will take place at the Taman Daya Hockey Stadium in Johor Bahru from October 19 to October 26, 2024. On Saturday, the Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team kicked off their Sultan of Johor Cup campaign with an emphatic 4-2 victory over Japan. India’s goals came from Amir Ali (12′), Gurjot Singh (36′), Anand Sourabh Kushwaha (44′), and Ankit Pal (47′), while Japan found the back of the net through Tsubasa Tanaka (26′) and Rakusei Yamanaka (57′). The team’s impressive win brought a proud smile to the face of PR Sreejesh, who is the new coach of the Indian Junior Men’s team.
