Jeremias Ponce, one of the best super lightweight boxers, will receive about $125,000 in compensation despite losing the fight. Subriel Matias, the freshly minted super lightweight champion, will be eligible for a $250,000 assured purse following his outstanding victory. The fighters will split the PPV earnings from this fight evenly, it has been announced. According to other reports, TGB Promotions had acquired the rights for this fight with their lone bid of $510,000 that meant $255,000 for each fighter including 50% split of the PPV revenue.

Subriel Matias overcame a shaky beginning to the fight against Jeremias Ponce to win by knockout on Saturday night and claim the IBF super lightweight title. Despite the Argentinean applying a lot of pressure in the first round, Matias maintained enough composure to know that by the second round, he could tip the scales in his favor.
