According to the Daily Mail, Wood alleges he was called a “stupid Arab n–r” in his tweet after requesting individuals of another group to vacate a seat he had paid for. “These people sat in the seat all the time,” he wrote. “I asked respectfully for at least two hours for them to kindly vacate the seat.” The insult heightened the situation, resulting in a barrage of blows and the participation of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. As per Wood’s article, the other supporters were barred from TIAA Bank Field indefinitely.
He writes, “These people just continued resting in the seat.” I persistently begged them to get up from their seat for at least two hours.” A participant in the melee that broke out in the crowd during the Jaguars-Steelers game claimed he was motivated to strike first by a racist epithet. The brawl, which occurred on Saturday even during the Steelers’ 16-15 preseason victory at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, was captured on camera and instantly became a sensation on social media.
Later, he claimed, the man in the red shirt on the video used a racial epithet to address him. The man added that he had undergone shoulder surgery. There have been almost four million views of the video. The disturbing social media video below was viewed by millions of people. A man who claimed to have fired the first shot on Facebook said that a group nearby was hostile and derogatory.
