The news comes following the retirement of long-time WWE CEO Vince McMahon.
Vince McMahon has finally retired following a long and successful career as WWE CEO. The 76-year-old pioneer of professional wrestling entertainment served as WWE CEO for 40 years, from 1982 to 2022.

It’s big news for WWE fans as legendary WWE CEO Vince McMahon retires at the age of 76 years.
A changing of the guard
As multiple major events take place simultaneously, it marks one of the most important days in WWE history. As though the news of Vince McMahon officially retiring from his active WWE duties wasn’t enough, former WWE superstar Triple H has been reinstated as head of Talent Relations.
But, it doesn’t stop with this. With Vince leaving the CEO post, his daughter Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan are officially the new Co-CEOs of WWE. This remarkable changing of the guard makes for a fascinating new chapter.
Vince McMahon’s statement
WWE released a statement on the matter, as did Vince about his retirement. The company stated,
I am extremely confident in the continued success of WWE, and I leave our company in the capable hands of an extraordinary group of Superstars, employees, and executives – in particular, both Chairwoman and Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon and Co-CEO Nick Khan.
The fact that Stephanie has grown up in the business could mean that there might be similarities in the way she promotes the business as her father.
Is WWE on the road to making big changes?
The major changes regarding the appointments of the two new co-CEOs of WWE are significant news for the company, and it remains to be seen how swiftly these changes will materialise in WWE programming. Recently, Vince was blasted with claims of sexual misbehavior. Moreover, he underwent an investigation into his private and professional life.
Stephanie had lately made the decision to step down from the company until Vince’s probe became public. However, Stephanie is back and ready to start working for the the position for which she has been training her entire life.
