Step by Step, also known as “Gradually Love” or “Khoi Khoi Rak,” is based on Summer December’s Thai web novel “Khoi Khoi Rak.” The protagonists of the series are Man Trisanu Soranun as Jeng Kittiphong Atthachiranon, Ben Benyapol Likhitamnuayporn as Pat Thanet Tangwatthana, and Up Poompat Lamsamang as Put.
Jeng, a harsh and grumpy digital marketing manager, and his subordinate, Pat, are central to the story. Jeng, the company owner’s son as well as the marketing manager, is despised by his team members for his stern and harsh personality. Pat, on the other hand, joins Jeng’s company as an enthusiastic employee after completing an international study program in Los Angeles.
Jeng develops a secret crush on Pat as they begin working together. Jeng decides to be extra harsh and selective with Pat in order to keep his feelings hidden and to maintain his position. When Pat finally decides to resign due to Jeng’s attitude, the entire situation in the company changes, and Jeng decides to reveal his feelings for Pat.
