Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Carlos Alcaraz H2H Record
Head to Head: 1-0
In their previous and only meeting in 2021 at the US Open, Carlos Alcaraz beat Stefanos Tsitsipas in the third round of the Grand Slam.
Prediction
Stefanos Tsitsipas has reached his first Masters’s last 16 in three attempts. The Greek won his first and only ATP 1000 title at the Monte Carlo last year, the year when he seemed to be one of the best players. Tsitsipas had reached the final of the Roland Garros tournament where he lost against Novak Djokovic. The 23-year-old had beaten Alexander Zverev to reach the last two for the first time in any Grand Slam but this season, the No. 5 player doesn’t seem to ve as impressive as compared his last season. Despite his reach to the semifinal of the Australian Open this year as well as to the final of the Rotterdam, the player’s consistency is questionable in front of Alcaraz.
On the other hand, Alcaraz makes it look too easy to win. The emerging star of the tournament made it one of the best entertaining fixtures against Nadal at the Indian Wells Masters this year.
Tsitsipas is higher ranked than Alcaraz, but the Spaniard looks more physically and tactically stronger as well as consistent. The professional from Greece will seek revenge for his third-round loss against the Spanish professional at the US Open the previous year and won’t make it easy for Alcaraz.
The 18-year-old from Spain has more chances to beat Tsitsipas looking at his strong form this year.
Stefanos Tsitsipas: 13/8
Carlos Alcaraz: 3/5
