However, sadly the Greek suffered discomfort in his right elbow, which also happens to be his dominating hand.
His participation seemed doubtful, and then upon further consultation with the doctors, Tsitsipas had to withdraw from the competition. Cameron Norrie replaced the Greek.
There has been no update about the injury from the Tsitsipas camp. Lucky for him, this was the last tour of the year. The next upcoming tournament is the Australian Open itself.
However, the Greek had posted a message for the supporters on Instagram. Reading that it seems that the player should be fit just in time for the Australian Open.
