The Varanasi Starbucks, which made its debut on March 22, distinguishes itself with its unique interior, attracting widespread attention online. Adding to its debut, Starbucks in Varanasi introduced an ‘Apprentice’ program, as disclosed on the Starbucks website.

Starbucks India, a collaboration between Tata Global Beverages and Starbucks Coffee Company, maintains a presence in 30 cities with over 230 stores and a workforce of more than 2,300 dedicated partners. Apprentices work nine hours per day with a one-hour break, spanning five days each week. Online assessments occur at the conclusion of the third and eleventh months of the program.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, participants receive a government-recognized certificate co-branded by Starbucks. How to work as an Apprentice at Starbucks?

Candidates interested to join the Starbucks Apprentice program must fulfill specific requirements. These requirements entail being enrolled in the 11th grade or its equivalent, or having completed the 10th grade, and being at least 16 years old. Additionally, applicants must possess a valid Aadhar (National Identity) card. The Starbucks Program Framework outlines the structure of the apprenticeship, which lasts for 12 months and includes paid on-the-job training.

Throughout the apprenticeship, the training emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service and cultivating the Starbucks Experience. This involves ensuring prompt service, maintaining the quality of beverages and products, and sustaining a clean and welcoming store environment.
