This goal from Buddy Freakin’ Robsinson, of all people, ensured the Florida Panthers would make the Stanley Cup Playoffs (and now the Final).

Interestingly, out of the remaining three teams, two teams have never won the cup, while the other hasn’t won this century.
As such, regardless of the victor, the Stanley Cup this year will go to a club that hasn’t won it in quite some time.
2023 Stanley Cup Final start date
As of now, the start date for the 2023 Stanley Cup Final has been stated as Saturday, June 3. This date is however, a tentative date set ahead of the start of the 2023 playoffs by the NHL. The NHL has not confirmed the stated date as locked in and could still change it. There are chances of a change especially if the conference finals wrap up earlier than expected.

Stanley Cup Final 2023 teams
The Panthers are all set to play in the Stanley Cup Final 2023. However, their opponent hasn’t been determined yet. The Florida-based franchise booked their finals berth after sweeping the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final. Their win extended a stunning run, which began with a shocking upset over the Bruins during the first round.
Their opponents will come from the Western Conference, where the Vegas Golden Knights and the Dallas Stars are the only two standing teams. Vegas has never won a Stanley Cup before, but they are impressively only in their sixth season in the league. The Golden Knights came close to the title in the 2018 Stanley Cup Final when they lost to the Capitals during their inaugural season. Meanwhile, the Stars have previously won a Stanley Cup final but it came way back in 1999.
