Sriram Venkitaraman was born to P.R. Venkitraman and Rajam Ramamoorthy. He attended the Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir Schoo and after that went to the Trivandrum Medical College to pursue MBBS. He did his master’s at Harvard University. He is going to marry IAS Renu Raj on April 28th, 2022.

Sriram Venkitraman Professional Career
Sriram’s anti-encroachment demolition actions earned a lot of attention during his tenure of work. While Sri Venkitaraman was serving as the sub-collector of Devikulam, he oversaw the demolition of 92 illegally constructed buildings based in Munnar and served notices to about 100 resorts and unauthorized constructions at the ecologically sensitive villages based in the outskirts of Devikulam taluk.
He passed the Indian Civil Service Examination in his second attempt in 2012 with all India rank 2 and elected for Medical science and zoology as his optional subjects for the Civil Services Examination.
During his tenure, the revenue department took over the Lovedale homestay in the Munnar and converted it into the Munnar village office. Sriram took a sabbatical from the government service for higher studies and went on to take a master’s in Public Health from the University of Harvard.
The doctor was suspended as an IAS. He was director of the Kerala Education survey department in 2019.

Sriram Venkitraman’s Accident
Sriram Venkitaraman got arrested for his rash and negligent driving in an intoxicated state along with his women friend, Miss Wafa Firoz. It was also stated that he hit and killed a journalist in a road traffic accident.
His co-passenger was driving the car, and the eyewitnesses stated this to the police. Sriram Venkitaraman, who was appointed as the director of Survey and Land Records, was suspended from his job in government after this incident took place.
Sriram was under suspension for a tenure of six months and until March of the year 2020. He was reinstated into the Health Department. He is presently serving as the Joint Secretary in the Department of Health and Social Justice based in Kerala, India.
