Meanwhile, Vietnam withdrew even though they were anticipated to play. Only the hosts, Cambodia, will take part in all eight contests.

Each of the other seven cricket competitions at the SEA Games 2023 will feature gold medal and bronze medal playoff matches, with the exception of the men’s 6s competition.
All teams compete against one another in the men’s 6s tournaments, and the top three teams receive the three medals.
The SEA Games 2023’s cricket competitions get underway on April 29, about a week before the opening ceremony on May 5.
The AZ Group Cricket Oval in Phnom Penh will host all of the cricket competitions for the SEA Games in 2023.
Cricket competitions will only be present in this year’s SEA Games.
The competition made its debut at the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur in 2017, along with a women’s T20 game, a men’s T20 match, and a men’s 50-over match.
The winners of the men’s 50 overs and women’s T20 competitions were Malaysia and Thailand, while the men’s T20 competition was won by the hosts Singapore.
