2023 Southeast Asian Games badminton final schedule, semi-final results, & score
Following a 3-1 victory against Singapore on Wednesday, Indonesia has advanced to the men’s team final of the 32nd SEA Games’ badminton competition. A significant opening victory by Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo assisted Indonesia on its way. The world No. 19 lost his opening set against Loh Kean Yew, but he recovered to defeat the Asian continental silver medalist 10-21, 21-7, 24-22. With a 21-15 21-17 victory over Singapore’s Terry Hee & Loh Kean Hean, Indonesian pair Muhammad Shohibul Fikri & Bagas Maulana increased their advantage.
Although Jason Teh of Singapore managed to reduce the deficit with his 15–21, 21–12, 21–14 win against Christian Adinata, Indonesia held onto their lead. Thanks to a masterclass by Pramudya Kusumawardana & Yeremia Rambitan, gold medal favorites Indonesia cruised to victory and sealed their berth in the championship match. Following these results, it is confirmed that Indonesia will face-off against Malaysia on Thursday with the title at stake.
