The Tri-series tournament will take place from January 19 to February 2 as a preparatory series, for the upcoming 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Once the tri-series ends, the Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 will follow up shortly featuring seven women’s teams.

Format

The South Africa Women’s T20I Tri Series 2023 will feature a total of seven matches. The three teams will each play against one another twice in the round-robin stage.

From there, the top two teams will then meet in the final showdown on February 2. All the games of the tournament including the final, will be played out at the Buffalo Park in East London.

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023

Once the tri-series in South Africa concludes, the players will take part in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. The tournament will kick off with a SAW vs Sri SLW clash on February 10, at Newlands, Cape Town. It will begin with the teams divided into two sets of groups.

Group A will feature South Africa, Australia, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. Group B on the other hand, will feature India and the West Indies alongside England, Ireland, and Pakistan.
