A tweet was sent out from the Sony Sports official Twitter account after Gautam Gambhir was named mentor of the new Lucknow team for IPL 2022
For someone as decorated as Gautam Gambhir as a cricketer, someone who helped guide India to both the T20 World Cup and ODI Cricket World Cup, the man has far from received his fair due solely due to being a member of the BJP.
Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from East Delhi, Gambhir has been subjected to some of the most horrendous and torrid pieces of tirades on social media platforms by left-leaning people. Bereft of facts and knowledge of the work he’s doing on the ground in Delhi, deranged people have gone onto peddle perplexing vitriol against Gambhir, a 2 times world cup winning cricketer and multiple IPL winning captain.
Sony Sports Mocks Gautam Gambhir And PM Narendra Modi After He’s Appointed Lucknow Mentor
The same appalling behavior has apparently now made its way into the Sony Sports hierarchy as well with the broadcaster sending out an inexplicable news

In the now-deleted post, Sony Sports wrote after Gambhir was appointed the mentor of Lucknow come IPL 2022: โClearly Supreme Leader is not paying this dude enough of moneyโ.
With Sony Sports offering no clarification on the tweet and deleting it as soon as it was sent it, its clear it wasn’t a case of hacking but someone from their own team deciding to use the opportunity to slander Gambhir and Modi. Supreme Leader is a reference to PM Narendra Modi under whose incumbent BJP led government Gambhir is a MP.
Sad and dark times for anyone who has the basic school of thought which aligns with anything in favour of the betterment of the country.
