40 year old Sonni Balli was a notable music icon who blessed the musical industry with magnificent compositions and his work was noteworthy enough, as he built an outstanding record of achievements during his career.

He was born on June 6th, 1982 as Sonny Kwabena Amoako Akoanor. He was the youngest of three siblings. When alive, the Dancehall artist expressed his parents’ wish for him to become a doctor. Sonni, on the other hand, began singing in the church’s choir when he was nine years old.

His intention to pursue a career in music was met with intense hostility from his parents; yet, at the age of 17, he hooked up with famous music producer Nana King, defying his parents’ wishes.
