The Kung Fu Monkey, born in Hulan District, Harbin, Heilongjiang, China was raised by a single mother. He was very young when he joined the training for mixed martial arts. Joining the martial arts school at just the age of nine, he started training for it when he aged 13. The Chinese made his professional debut when he was almost sixteen years old.
Yadong doesn’t talk much about his personal life and keeps it quite private and this is why it is not yet known who is he married to. He has a son with his wife.
The fact that he is married was known when he, in a post-press conference at UFC 265, talked about his wife. “I feel very excited, my wife and my son are here…yeah it’s the most important for me,” said the fighter in an interview posted by MMA Junkie on his YouTube channel.
