Chantra got 23 points as a rookie for the newly founded Honda Asia Team in 2019, which was created expressly to offer Asian riders a shot in Moto2 and Moto3, whereas his colleagues Dimas Ekky Pratama, Andi Farid Izdihar, Teppei Nagoe, and Gerry Salim scored none.
Chantra returned to Honda Asia Team full-time in 2020, but he struggled to repeat his success from the previous season, collecting points in only two races and finishing the season with ten points.
The Honda Asia Team, like Chantra, had a successful 2021 season. Chantra finished the year with 37 points, his best performance coming in Austria, where rookie teammate Ai Ogura finished second.
