She was born on May 2, 1994, in Suwon, South Korea and she was 29 years during the time of her death. Park Soo Ryun mainly worked in musicals and most recently featured in the popular Koran Drama TV series titled “Snowdrop”. The deceased actress always had an interest in acting since her teens and followed up on her dreams by starting a career in the entertainment industry.

Soo Ryun started out her acting career by appearing in her first ever musical titled ‘Il Tenore’ in 2018. Following which she featured in several musicals including Finding Kim Jong Wook, Passing Through Love, Siddhartha, and The Day We Loved.
The last time she appeared was on BlackPink’s Jisoo and Jung Hae In’s popular TV series ‘Snowdrop’, in 2021. In that K-drama, Park Soo Ryun played the role of a detained university student later released by authorities. Following her work in the series, she uploaded photos of Jung Hae In and Blackpink’s Jisoo Kim on her social media while thanking them for their support.

According to reports, Park Soo Ryn was in Jeju Island on 11 June 2023, for her performance the next day. However, she reportedly fell down a flight of stairs while returning home, and sustained major injuries.
Following the accident, she was rushed to a hospital, but doctors declared her brain dead after trying to resuscitate her. Despite making the best efforts to save her, doctors couldn’t do anything more and she sadly passed away. Park Soo Ryun’s family reportedly donated her organs in her honour following her untimely death. Park Soo Ryun’s mother revealed in a statement that:
Only her brain is unconscious, and her heart is still beating. There must be someone who desperately needs [organs]. As her mother and father, we will be able to live comforted [by the thought that her heart] has gone to someone and is beating.”

Following her death, Park Soo Ryun’s family held a funeral ceremony in her honor. The funeral took place 4 pm KST, Tuesday, on 12 June 2023 at the Suwon Hospital of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center. The funeral went on until the morning of 13 June 2023, beginning with a procession and performing her last rites.
