It is confirmed that the reigning world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan will start his title quest with a first-round match against Pang Junxu on 15th April. According to the official schedule, the 2023 Snooker World Championship will be played from 15th April through 1st May at the Crucible Theatre.

2023 Snooker World Championship Qualifiers results, main-draw schedule, draw, date, & Time
The 32 third-round winners squared off in the fourth and final qualifying round, dubbed “Judgement Day,” with the 16 winners moving on to the Crucible main draw. Despite dropping the opening three frames of their match against Cao Yupeng, 2020 semifinalist McGill went on to defeat Cao 10-6 and go to the Crucible for the seventh time in a row.
While trailing Day 0-4 in their match, Donaldson withdrew for medical reasons. Day won the match 10-0 by default with the biggest break of the qualifying rounds—146—in the first frame. Jimmy Robertson defeated Hamilton 10-2 to return to the Crucible for the first time since 2018. Gilbert overcame Stevens 10-7, scoring three centuries throughout the match.
