2023 Snooker Shoot Out schedule, date, time, venue, format, & participants list
Chris Wakelin is set to defend his title in a 128-player field, facing tough competition from players such as Mark Williams, Shaun Murphy, Mark Allen, & Kyren Wilson. Notably, Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump will be absent from the 2023 Shoot Out. O’Sullivan plans to take a break after securing his eighth UK Championship win, while Trump won’t be competing due to personal reasons. Additionally, world champion Luca Brecel will not be part of the Shoot Out.
The Shoot Out format involves each match lasting a maximum of 10 minutes, with a shot clock of 15 seconds for the initial five minutes and just 10 seconds for the final five. First-round matches are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, with the second round taking place on Friday. The remaining action, including the final, is slated for Saturday, with play commencing at 13:00 UK time each day.
