Collin “Sweets” Boldizar, a competitive Smash Bros player, was detained in connection with the murder of his mother and has since been banned from competitions
Boldizar has a no-contact order against his mother and has reportedly been brought in by police as part of their inquiry. On June 30, deputies responding to the site discovered a headless body inside the residence his mother called home.

A worried neighbour alerted the police, and they later discovered she had died. At two in the morning, they had overheard screaming and loud banging coming from her home.
Why Was Smash Bros Professional Player Banned Recently?
Smash player expelled from competitions. On the same day, Satellite Smash tweeted a message to their followers. They stated in the tweet:
“We have permanently banned Collin “Sweets” Boldizar from the Western Washington Smash Scene. We encourage anyone impacted by this tragedy to reach out to @WASupportPanel.”
It says: “Collin “Sweets” Boldizar has been permanently barred from the Western Washington Smash Society. There is no threat to the community because Collin is in custody. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time.
“We encourage anyone impacted by this tragedy to reach out to the Washington Support Panel, and encourage anyone who may know anything about the case to reach out to local law enforcement.”
