During the Junior World Championships in 2016, which was held in Sochi, Russia, Marco secured the eleventh downhill, and secured bronze in super-G, but unfortunately failed to conclude the combined, clinched the gold medal in giant slalom, and but again sadly failed to finish the slalom.
During the 2018 Junior Worlds which was held in Davos, Marco won an unprecedented five gold medals in the combined, downhill, super-G, giant slalom, and team event.
Odermatt made his debut at the World Cup in March 2016 during a giant slalom event at St. Moritz. But Marco clinched his first World Cup podium during the Kranjska Gora in 2019 March. Marcoโs first win came in 2019 December during a super-G at Beaver Creek in Colorado.

“I really risked everything in the second run, because I wanted not just the medal, I wanted the gold medal,” Odermatt stated. “It’s difficult because you can lose everything, but today, it paid off.”
