Johannes Strolz is an Austrian Alpine Skier. He was born on 12th September 1992. During the 2022 Beijing Olympics, Strolz secured the gold medal in the men’s alpine skiing combined event.
Johannes Strolz’s father, Hubert Strolz, was also a combined gold medallist during the 1988 Winter Olympics which was held in Calgary.
Not only this but also, he along with his became the first father-son Alpine skiing team to win Olympic gold medals.

Strolz had a great beginning at the school level and then seeing his excellency in the sport, he was shifted to the main ski school that is situated in Schruns. He soon attended the Stams ski school, where he was selected into the youth team of the ÖSV.
After he completed high school, he got into military service where he learned basic military service and completed his training in the top sports team of the police.
In December 2011, Strolz made his European Cup debut. Strolz in March 2012 competed in the Junior World Championships in Roccaraso where he secured the bronze medal in the Super-G.
In Quebec, in 2013 he was classified with all five disciplines in the extended top field but unfortunately wasn’t able to repeat the medal win.
During the European Cup, he then purely focused on the technical disciplines and, so far Strolz has achieved eight placements in the top ten positions.
Strolz during the Trysil giant slalom on December 8, 2017, clinched his first victory.
Strolz’s first World Cup win came in January 2018 in the giant slalom in Garmisch-Partenkirchen as 30th position.
Strolz achieved the 22nd position which is his best position of the season during the giant slalom of Kranjska Gora in March.
During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Strolz clinched the men’s alpine combined title along with the silver medal in the slalom in China.
