Jakara’s Career, Wins, Achievements
Jakara came to the limelight during her impressive performance on the Mogul World Cup circuit in January 2017 by qualifying for the women’s final along with now World Champion and her teammate Britt Cox at Deer Valley in Utah.
Jakara at the age of 16-years made her debut at the World Cup in January 2015, where she was placed at 33rd position.
Anthony ended up in 14th place at that event and proved the promise that the 2014 Junior National Mogul Champion has much to offer and has come a long way, very quickly.
During early 2017, Jakara went on to secure the top-ten at the Tazawako World Cup two weeks later with a 9th place finish and a new PB of 74.17
She participated during the 2018 Winter Olympics, where she ended up at the 4th position which resulted in her best ever result for an Australian female mogul skier till now.
During the World Ski Championships, in 2019 Jakara finished at 2nd position.
Jakara, the 23-year-old skier has finally ended up the twelve years of a drought of gold medals as Anthony won with the score of 83.09 points in the six-woman super final, she was followed by American Jaelin Kauf with 80.28 scores as second and, Anastasiia Smirnova with 77.72 points of the Russian Olympic Committee as the third winner.
Jakara post her Olympics gold medal clinch stated, “It’s really incredible to know that all the hard work that I have been putting into my whole skiing career is really paying off,” Anthony told the Seven Network. “I’m just lost for words.”
