Farkasova’s International debut-

Henrieta made her international debut in the year 2004 while representing her country, Slovakia during the European Cup in Austria.

Farkasova’s Childhood-

Henrieta Farkasova started playing the sport at age 17 during her high school ski camp in Levoca, Slovakia.

Henrieta Farkasova Medals And Achievements

Henrieta is considered to be one of the most dominant athletes in alpine skiing. Most recently, during the 2018 PyeongChang Paralympic Winter Games, she was considered as the most decorated athlete with four gold medals and one silver medal to her name in the women´s vision impaired alongside her guide Natalia Subrtova. She took home gold at the Winter Olympics 2022 Beijing as well by winning the first gold on offer after winning 4 golds in 2018.

Henrieta also clinched the Crystal Globe after concluding at the top of the World Cup rankings by defending the title from the previous season.

Farkasova in 2017 also showed what she is capable of by securing four gold medals at the World Championships which was held in Tarvisio, Italy.

Farkasova during the initial days of her career showed her capabilities and shone brightly by securing winning two gold medals and one silver medal at her maiden World Championships in 2009.

During Vancouver 2010, which was her first Winter Paralympics, she left Canada with three gold medals and one silver medal after a brilliant performance.

Henrieta also shone brightly during 2011 World Championships in Sestriere, Italy, where she claimed four titles. She bagged two more gold medals to her Worlds haul in La Molina, Spain, in 2013.

Honors Achieved By Henrieta

In 2019 at the International Paralympic Committee’s biennial Paralympic Sport and Media Awards ceremony, she was conferred with the Best Female award for her achievements at the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang. She was bestowed with the 2018 Para Athlete of the Year at the 2019 Laureus World Sports Award ceremony in Monaco.

Henrieta was also conferred with the 2017 and 2018 Paralympic Athlete of the Year in Slovakia.

She has the Ludovit Stur Order title from the Slovakian government as well.

She has received the Award of the Secretary of Education of Slovakia in 2018 as well.
