Clement was born and brought up in the Eastern Vosages in the Remiremont area of eastern, France to French parents. While he used to date Julia Bonhomme for a number of years, both have not shared any pictures together for quite some time with Clement said to be single at the moment.

Post the tournament of Adelboden, his first victory followed after a week when he was in Wengen where he beat Austrian legend Marcel Hirscher into third place in the slalom.
