2023 Pathum Thani Six-red World Championship latest results, winners, score, & second-round schedule
Ronnie O’Sullivan defeated Thai superstar James Wattana 5-2, but not until both players had qualified for the round-of-16 stage at the Six Red World Championship in Pathum Thani. O’Sullivan will now compete against Ding Junhui in the round of 16, while Wattana will take on Zhang Anda. After winning both of his matches on Wednesday, Mark Williams secured a match against Judd Trump in the second-round. Williams had to overcome Thailand’s Sunny Akani 5-4, before he defeated Andres Petrov 5-2 to qualify for the next round.
Trump defeated WSF Champion Mai Hai Long 5-4 to claim the group’s top spot, while Ricky Walden defeated Kritsanut Lertsattaythorn 5-4 to finish as the group runner-up. With his resounding 5-3 victory over Robert Milkins, Chris Wakelin finished his league stage campaign with three victories in as many matches and bagged first place in Group E. Despite losing to Matthew Selt by score of 3-5, Dechwat Poomjaeng finished as the group runner-up based on frame differential.
