Hanu Raghavapadi wrote and directed the film which stars Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. It is the second film of DQ after the 2018 blockbuster drama film Mahanati.
C. Aswani Dutt under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Films are the producers of Sita Ramam.

The film is set in 1964 and stars DQ in the male lead as Lieutenant Ram. Actress Mrunal Thakur of Hindi film Jersey fame portrays his love interest Sita Mahalakshmi. The film also stars bubbly beauty Rashmika Mandanna in the prominent role as Afreen.
Besides the main cast members, the successful romantic drama film also stars Sumanth, Tharun Bhascker, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Bhumika Chawla, Vennela Kishore, and Murali Sharma.

The filmmakers originally released Sita Ramam in theatres on August 25, 2022 in Telugu and dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions. It received critical acclaim and gained commercial success.
Popular streaming platform Amazon Prime Video have bought the OTT rights for the film. The film will stream on the platform from September 9, 2022 in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages.
The film was released in theatres on September 2, 2022 in dubbed Hindi versions and opened to rave reviews from audiences, Sita Ramam collected 82 Cr Gross Worldwide.
The Hindi belt audience is eagerly waiting for the film’s Hindi OTT streaming. Though the makers haven’t revealed the OTT partner for the film’s Hindi-version streaming, it is also expected to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
Sita Ramam Reviews And Box-Office Collection
On its opening day, the film collected an impressive gross collection of Rs. 5.25 crore worldwide and on the same day, collected a gross of $400K at the US box-office.
It crossed a Rs. 50 cr mark worldwide in just 10 days and a lifetime collection of Rs. 80 crore+ in all the three languages.
The film has collected around Rs. 5 crore in Hindi belt in 10 days after its theatre-release, out of which Rs. 70 lakh plus business came from the opening day.
