The plot of Siren: Survive The Island
The Siren’s Call: Make It Through Teams of candidates will engage in grueling physical challenges on the Island, such as “trudging through acres-long mud flats and digging deep wells” (Tudum).
The goal of Siren: Survive The Island is to win by snatching the other teams’ flags from their bases while also securing the individual flags of the competitors. A team will be competing with one less member if a competitor loses their flag and is forced to sit out of their current task until the finish of the challenge.
Producer of Siren: Survive The Island
Producer Lee Eun-kyung gave a presentation about the making of Siren: Survive The Island, during which she revealed the show’s working title: “A siren is a type of air raid siren. The word comes from the Greek mythological creature known as a siren. The term “beautiful but dangerous woman” has become increasingly popular in recent times.”
She elaborated that the event will feature feats of strength and battlefield prowess as part of its entertainment value. In addition, viewers will be able to observe the detailed plan employed by each team as they compete against one another on a mysterious island off the coast of South Korea.
Lee also emphasized a gendered aspect, saying that she intended to make a show that would feature accomplished women working in fields that are traditionally dominated by males. She thinks that viewers won’t notice that they’re women on the show because they’ll be more focused on the fact that they’re portraying men in the armed forces, fire department, and police force.
