Cristiano Ronaldo who has completed his transfer to Manchester United announced his return on Instagram along with talking about Alex Ferguson
On the cusp of seeing his Manchester United legacy get destroyed as he sat of the brink of switching to Manchester City, Cristiano Ronaldo saw his deal with Pep Guardiola’s side fall through.
It eventually lead to Manchester United swooping in for him to seal a return to the club where he had first made his name on the global stage. The transfer crashed Manchester United’s site with it also trouncing all the records set by Lionel Messi’s move to PSG in the process.
While the club affirmed the transfer, Ronaldo was yet to comment on the move. However, in the aftermath of him completing his medical on Monday, the Portuguese has finally come out in the open about the transfer.
Cristiano Ronaldo Mentions Sir Alex Ferguson On Instagram After Completing Transfer
Taking to Instagram today, Ronaldo talked about how he was delighted to be back at the club where it had all begun for him. He also talked about the special connection he shared with the club as he made a special mention to his manager during his first tenure at the club, Sir Alex Ferguson.
“I’m right here! I’m back where I belong! Let’s make it happen once again! PS – Sir Alex, this one is for you,” Ronaldo wrote on Instagram.
While the club is yet to announce Ronaldo’s shirt number, him taking the number 7 sees to be dicey at the moment. While Edinson Cavani is said to be willing to let go off the 7 jersey number he currently holds for Ronaldo, Manchester United have already registered their numbers for the ongoing Premier League season.
