The singer was found dead by his roommate in his bedroom in a Nashville apartment on Monday, July 18th.

The tragic news of his demise was confirmed by his cousin Dylan Seals and Nashville’s medical examiner.
According to various media reports, the cause of the singer’s death is yet to be known following an autopsy. According to reports, a guitar pick was found next to Neal’s bed with what “appeared to be a certain powder residue” on it.
Neal was very vocal about his struggle with substance abuse and addiction.
During an interview with PEOPLE, his cousin, Seals said that Neal, “ultimately succumbed to his battle with substance abuse”. Seals, who is an audio engineer, was living with his cousin prior to the pandemic.
Who’s Nolan Neal?
Seals recounted Neal as being clean and sober at the time when he was living with him. Neal first came into the spotlight when he auditioned for Season 15 of The Voice in 2016. His talented and soulful voice earned him a spot under mentor Adam Levine’s team.
However, his journey was cut short after he was eliminated during the Knockout round. 4-years later, he once again returned to the small screen while he auditioned for “America’s Got Talent”.
In audition for AGT, he performed his original song ‘Lost’ which was inspired by his truffles with addiction. His amazing and passionate performance earned him a standing ovation from the show’s judges.
During an interview with WBIR, Neal opened up about his struggles with addiction. In that interview, he admitted drinking heavily while competing on ‘The Voice’.
He said, “I kind of lost my way on ‘The Voice’ and continued drinking. You can see it. I can see it. I remember I got clean in 2010; May 15, went to rehab. Stayed clean. I joined the rock band Hinder, they were all about drinking and partying”.
A fan page of Neal posted on Tuesday morning regarding the death of the singer, saying, “I can’t believe you’re gone from us’ and ‘heaven just got a new music director”.
Nolan Neal was married to Stephanie Neal. He born to his father Mark Daniel Seals AKA Welby and mother Cathy Lee is Nashville and died aged 41. His height was 163cm and his net worth stood at $500,000.
