As per reports, the artist has been battling with Parkinsonโs disease for almost 7 years. Miller took her last breath while surrounded by her family members in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

The tragic news of the Grammy award-winner star is revealed by her daughter Robin Brooks on her Facebook page.
The post of Brooks’ Facebook page, Middle-Sister Music reads, “Middle Sister is sorry to announce the passing of Jody Miller this morning, music icon and mother of Robin Brooks.
“First Fridays will resume next month in November. Please remember the family as they deal with this great loss.”
Jody was a native of Arizona. After her birth their family moved to Blanchard, Oklahoma. Soon enough the artist discovered her hidden talent and became a popular voice.
As bagged her first Grammy in 1966, she became the first person to bag an Academy Award from Oklahoma.
Later, In 1965, she was signed by Capitol Records, which served as a launching pad for her singing career.
The singer released debut album in 1963 titled “Wednesdayโs Child is Full of Wo.” In 1964, Jody’s popular “He Walks Like a Man,” managed to sneak into the Billboard Hot 100.
It was her first song that charted into the Billboard Hot 100. Through her career’s achievements, Miller is best known for her performance at President George HW Bushโs 1988 Inaugural Ball.
Throughout her career, the country-pop singer gave a ton of hits including โLetโs All Go Down to the River,โ and ‘Home of the Brave’.
Though Miller’s each song was quite popular but she got her world wide fame through “Queen of the House,” it was a response to Roger Miller’s Smash.
The song not only managed to reach Top 5 on the Hot Country Singles chart but it also managed to reach No. 12 on the Billboard’s Hot 100.
Not just this, the singer also bagged her Grammy Award for the same song in the best country and western vocal performance female category.
After the demise of Jody’s husband Monty Brooks in 2014, the legendary singer started to perform with her daughter and grand-children. They named their group as Jody Miller & Three Generation.
In 2018, the in-house group even went on to release their single, “Where My Picture Hangs on the Wall.”
In 1999, Jody was inducted into the Country Gospel Music Associationโs Hall of Fame. Her net worth stood at $2 million.
