Here’s What The 12 Refers In Lil Wayne’s Tweet!
“12” refers to Rodgers, who signed a contract extension for four more years before the 2022 season. Before deciding to play for the Packers, Rodgers is said to have thought about retiring and also being traded to the Broncos.
Lil Wayne seems to think that, given Rodgers’ struggles so far this season, the Packers should have traded or dropped him before the season started.
Rodgers has completed 205 of 317 passes for 2,091 yards and 14 touchdowns so far this season. He has also picked off the ball seven times this season.
Rodgers Has Indeed Been Struggling
Sunday made Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers’ already bad season even worse. Green Bay’s first drive against the Detroit Lions came to an end when the Packers quarterback threw an interception into the end zone. On the second time Green Bay had the ball, he did it again. By the end of the game, he had thrown three interceptions, and the Packers lost 15–9, making their record 3-6.
After the Lions failed to score on fourth down at Green Bay’s 7-yard line, the Packers got the ball for the first time deep in their own territory. Then, in 12 plays, they went 88 yards to Detroit’s 5-yard line, setting up a first-and-goal situation.
The Packers chose to throw a play-action pass there. Derrick Barnes, a linebacker, tipped Rodgers’ pass to Allen Lazard at the line of scrimmage, making it go up into the air. Kerby Joseph, a rookie safety, picked up the loose ball in the end zone. This was the first time in his career that he had an interception.
Out of a jumbo set, Rodgers faked a handoff, rolled to his right, and then floated a pass to left tackle David Bakhtiari, who had reported as an eligible receiver. Bakhtiari was doomed from the start.
The pass was short, and rookie Aidan Hutchinson caught it in the end zone. It was the first time in his career that he had intercepted a pass, and it gave the Lions another touchback.
