Dom Telford, a striker for Crawley Town, didn’t waste any time in responding to the X-rated Andy Carroll chant made by Salford fans about him on Saturday

Telford, 26, was a target of an explicit chant midway through the first half of the League Two matchup as he waited for a corner to be taken.

As Andy Carroll took his place in the penalty area, a section of away fans behind the goal started singing, “You’re just a s*** Andy Carroll.” But only seconds later, his spectacular header put them ahead.

Dom Telford then rode off in jubilation in front of the Salford supporters, who he chanted back angrily. Additional goals from Dion Conroy and Teddy Jenks helped Crawley to a 3-2 victory. Following the final whistle, Telford’s social media trolling of Salford’s supporters did not stop.

Over Twitter he simply said, “SH*T ANDY CARROLL,” followed by three laughing emojis.

After two terrible tackles in the span of 10 minutes on Saturday night, Carroll was sent off for Reading. As a result of one of those difficulties, Christian Eriksen had to use crutches to leave Old Trafford.

Dominic David Telford, born in England on December 5, 1996. He plays up front for Crawley Town of the English Football League’s Second Division.

Although he was born in Burnley, Telford spent his childhood and high school years in Clitheroe, where he graduated from Ribblesdale High. He made 12 appearances for the Under-16 Lancashire Schools team in 2012-13 and played youth football for Clitheroe Wolves.

In June of 2013, he signed with Blackpool as a first-year scholar for the club’s youth squad, where he saw extensive action throughout his debut season. The month after he turned 17, in December, he was nominated for the League Football Education’s goal of the month for November for a goal scored against Bury, and he was nominated again for a goal scored in December 2013 against Liverpool in January 2014. In June of 2014, the 35-yard chip against Liverpool was nominated for the season’s best goal.

Dom Telford joins Crawley Town

On the 9th of August, he was brought into the club’s inaugural game against Nottingham Forest as an 88th-minute substitute. After his contract with Newport County ended in 2022, Crawley Town announced on June 24 that Telford would be joining the club on a three-year contract.

On July 30, 2022, he made his Crawley debut in a 1-0 loss against Carlisle United. In Crawley’s 3-2 victory over Stockport County, he scored his first goal for the club.
