What Will Happen With Shadows House Season 3?
As was already said, Shadows House hasn’t been officially renewed for a third season yet. However, there are a few things that give fans hope that the anime show will keep going.
The first thing to know is that there is still a lot of the original manga series left for the Shadows House anime to use for a third TV season. So-Ma-original To’s manga goes up to volume 7 chapter 80, which is what the season 2 finale should cover.
As of September 2022, 11 chapters with a total of 124 chapters have been published in Japan. This is good news for fans of the series. This means that there is enough source material for at least one more season of the Shadows House anime, after at least one or two more volumes are published by the first quarter of 2023.

The anime should be popular enough for Studio CloverWorks to make a third season. Before the season 2 finale, the show has a solid 7.4/10 rating on IMDB. MyAnimeList, Anilst, and Anime Planet give the show’s second season scores of 7.97/10, 78%, and 4/5, respectively.
When you add this to the fact that the second season of the anime show increased manga sales by about 200,000, bringing the total number of copies in circulation to 1.8 million by August 1, 2022, it’s clear that Shadows House season 3 will be made at some point.
What Could Be A Possible Date For Shadows House Season 3?
Since Shadows House season 3 hasn’t been officially renewed yet, there is still no confirmed information about when it might come out. We can, however, make some early guesses based on how the first and second seasons were made.
The anime version of Shadows House was announced in October 2020, and it will be released around the world in April 2021. Pre-production probably started a few months before the announcement, though.
Then, Season 2 was ordered in September 2021. And it will come back to TV and Crunchyroll in July 2022. Which is about nine months after it was ordered.
This means that if CloverWorks goes ahead. And renews the show before the end of the year, Shadows House season 3 could come out as early as July 2023 on the Summer schedule.
CloverWorks already has a few big projects planned for the new year. Like the second season of My Dress-Up Darling. And the likely continuation of Spy x Family. This could be a problem.
By all accounts, the popular animation studio will be free. To work on Shadows House season 3 by the summer of 2023. If My Dress-Up Darling and Spy x Family take priority as expected. This should push Shadows House season 3 into a launch window in October 2023.
