What Exactly Happened so far?
The Eiser flashback began in the previous chapter of Serena Manhwa. We witness his father gushing over his wit and brilliance. His advice? Drop what he’s doing and start showing up to work. As a leader, he will instruct him.
That was the first lesson Eiser ever had with his dad. We got to spend more time with him now that he’s a little older and working on a business with his dad and older brother Victor.
After much deliberation, Victor’s father informed him that he would be passing his business on to someone with greater intelligence and influence. Make sure they’re both prepared because he won’t want his name to be associated with failure. That’s when Victor’s animosity and distrust of Eiser began.
Mother’s condition?
That’s when the rivalry between the two brothers began. When it came to the family business and his strict regulations, Eiser also learned how brutal his father could be. But his dad was in trouble at an event, and Eiser didn’t want his mom to be the one to bear the blame.
Aware of his brother’s callousness and lack of concern for his mother, Eiser came to a similar realization. Similarly, his father valued business and financial success above his mother. With a swift motion, Eiser seizes the knife and cuts the cheeks of his older brother. Then he goes on to state that he wants to contact the authorities so he can visit his mother in prison.
After that, he finally met the one person he could trust: Jeffrey, the family attorney. He returned his mother from prison just as he had promised. The chapter ends with Eiser’s dismay at his mother’s truly awful condition.
