Senior National Men’s Kabaddi Championship Recent History, List of Winners, And Champions
The 65th Men’s Senior National Kabaddi Championships were held from December 31 to January 6, 2018, in Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. The winning team was the men’s squad from Maharashtra. Previously, Services won the 64th and 62nd Men’s Senior National Championships. The 63rd Men’s Senior National Kabaddi Championship was won by Uttar Pradesh. Rajasthan won the 61st Men’s Senior National Kabaddi Championship.
The Railway Sports Promotion Board, under the direction of Dharmaraj Cheralathan, won the 66th Senior National Kabaddi Championships. They had won a lopsided final in Roha in 2019 by defeating Services Sports Control Board 41-17. After 11 years, the Maharashtra squad coached by Rishank Devadiga won the men’s championship in 2018. The team came from behind to overcome Services 34-29 in the championship game, thanks in large part to a masterful effort by Rishank, which marked the team as winners of 65th Senior National Kabaddi Championship.
In 2020, Indian Railways and Services competed in the 67th Senior National Kabaddi Championship men’s final at Jaipur’s Poornima University in Rajasthan. It was a low-scoring thriller as both sides battled head-to-head in the top match. By defeating Services, the Indian Railways kabaddi teams kept their national titles. Similarly, Indian Railways defeated Services 44-23 in the championship match to win the 68th Senior National Kabaddi Championship at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar International Sports Stadium in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
