SEGA Releases Sonic Frontiers Gameplay Along With Release Date

With these considerations in mind, fans have been cautiously hopeful about the impending Sonic Frontiers. It was first teased last year with a cinematic teaser showing the popular blue hedgehog blazing across a forest, and now it has new gameplay.

The initial sample on the press’s official account is only a minute long and features fragments of a little bit of everything. The enormous open environment, the strewn grind-rails, and enemy conflict.

Sonic Frontiers is the first game in the series to have a fully open-world environment.

At the very least, much of it is promising, particularly the opponent design and bash-based gameplay. However, the majority of the footage comes from IGN’s quality And innovative products gameplay debut, which includes four minutes of gameplay.

For one thing, it effectively displays Sonic’s moveset. As is customary for a hero, he can stroll, run, grind, dash, and bounce. However, it appears that he has a ground pound or stomp technique, or at minimum something that resembles one.

Frontiers has yet to be given a clear release date. Fans can look forward to getting their paws on it in 2022. PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch are all supported.

After the debacle that was Sonic Forces, work on the game began. The blue hedgehog would make his way to the Starfall Islands this time. Biomes are thought to come in a variety of shapes and sizes. It has been compared to Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in terms of visuals. In terms of implementation, though, it appears to be more analogous to the Mario Kart 3D World expansion Bowser’s Fury.

As the name says, the teaser still is a teaser, with only about 30 seconds of gameplay. However, it does provide a better glimpse into its larger environment. Sonic can be shown completing little puzzles, striking adversaries with spectacular moves, and travelling the game’s enormous environment. After that, there’s a weird word inside an alien language.

The release date for the game stands at either November or December in 2022.
