She reunites with her niece Ae-gyeong, her sister Cho-won, and her beloved Seo-ha from a previous life. When Ae-gyeong became abruptly ill, she realized that her power was not without consequences. She gave up her power to prevent an imminent threat to society.
Ji-eum saw her sister’s murder in her visions when she recalled her past existence. She had long suspected that Seo-ha had murdered her in a previous life. But after recalling the events, she knew that Min-gi was the one who killed her sibling. In addition, she planned to exact eternal vengeance on Min-gi by recalling every detail of her life up to that point. In other words, she was the one responsible for recalling her previous existence.

Ji-eum releases her anger at Min-gi and tells him she wants a regular existence. But in order to do so, she must surrender to her fate and utter the three words with an open mind and spirit. But if she does, she won’t just lose her reincarnation memory, but also the capacity to resurrect herself. But she gives in because she knows it’s the only way to protect Ae-gyeong and the others. She saw her past self, who appeared to be at peace, as she stood on the bridge with the shaman bells. After they make up, the curse disappears and she regains her powers.
