2022 Scottish Open Day 4 Results, Score, Quarter-Final Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, Draw, Format, & Qualified Players
At the 2022 Scottish Open in Edinburgh, Mark Selby defeated Jack Lisowski 4-2 to qualify for the quarterfinal, where he will face-off against Neil Robertson. On Thursday’s evening session, Robertson was unquestionably at the top of his game, defeating the lone Scottish player Anthony McGill 4-2 in a hotly contested match. Meanwhile, world no.3 Judd Trump displayed tenacity to overcome a deficit and defeat Xiao Guodong by score of 4-2.
Trump will now compete against Thepchaiya Un-Nooh, who defeated Jamie Jones 4-3 despite best come-back efforts from Jones. In their round-of-16 clash, the players scored three century breaks to get the match off to a fast start. Un-Nooh scored runs of 106 and 109 to take a 2-0 lead before Jones answered with a 129. Following two frames of back-and-forth, Jones won the sixth on black to force a decider, which Un-Nooh won to secure his place in the quarterfinals.
Kyren Wilson defeated Zhou Yuelong 4-2 to qualify for the quarterfinal and Gary Wilson, who defeated Iran’s Hossein Vafaei 4-3, will now be Wilson’s opponent. In the other quarterfinal, Ricky Walden and Joe O’Connor will square off. Walden defeated Sam Craigie easily, 4-1, and O’Connor upset Mark Williams, a three-time World Champion, 4-3.
