Team India set for a tough battle

The Indian men’s cricket team are currently set to face Australia in a four-match Test series next month. Australia are the world’s No. 1 Test team at the moment and also the World Test Championship leaders. The first assignment against the Aussies is set to start on February 9 in Nagpur.

Moreover, the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy is an important assignment for the Indian team. This is because the result of the trophy will decide India’s chances of making it into the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC). India needs to win a minimum of three games to make it to the finals.

Keeping in mind the challenge against Australia, India announced their 17-member squad on Friday, January 13. The squad is meant for first two matches scheduled to take place in Nagpur and Delhi.
