However, Shafeel PP seized his moment in the 67th minute, capitalizing on a pass from Rahul Ramakrishnan just outside the box. With swift decisiveness, the 26-year-old unleashed a blistering shot that found the bottom corner of the net, leaving da Silva with no chance to save and propelling Services into a well-deserved lead.
In the 99th minute, as the final seconds ticked away, Faheez embarked on a remarkable solo run, evading three defenders to enter the penalty area and lofting the ball over an advancing Kadir. Yet, Shafeel once again came to his team’s rescue, clearing the ball off the line and securing the championship title. Mr. Kalyan Chaubey, the President of AIFF, awarded the Santosh Trophy to Services, crowning them as the victors of the 77th edition of the National Football Championship.

Sayad bin Abdul Kadir clinched the Best Goalkeeper award at the Santosh Trophy 2024, while Services standout Samir Murmu seized the Player of the Tournament title. Phijam Sanathoi Meitei from Manipur was recognized as the Highest Goalscorer, netting a total of 11 goals. Based on last year’s prize pool, Services is projected to receive INR 5 Crore for their Santosh Trophy 2024 victory, with Goa set to pocket INR 3 Crore for finishing as the runner-up.
